Collective Calling Donation

Collective Calling works with children and parents in both Spain and Tanzania to help tackle the root causes of poverty, provide immediate relief to the effects of poverty, and act as a voice for the poor and the oppressed through advocacy.

We were unable to present our donation in person to volunteers of Collective Calling as they were off to continue with their work in Tanzania before we could meet with them. We did nevertheless receive a lovely thank you from them.

Spain has been suffering economically with the highest unemployment rate in Europe combined with family benefit in Spain remaining the lowest in the EU. The charity provides practical help in the form of food assistance, and as a child focused organisation, they are introducing programs that will help keep the family unit together, with a holistic approach of emotional and mental well-being for parents and children.

In Spain, their mission is to combat homelessness and its associated challenges by providing comprehensive support and long-term solutions to individuals and communities in need. They recognize that homelessness is a complex issue influenced by a range of factors, including economic hardships, social exclusion, and inadequate access to affordable housing. The charity is dedicated to addressing these issues through a multi-faceted approach that encompasses various aspects of assistance and empowerment.

Gemma and Paul Carr, founders of Collective Calling both come from the UK and have fallen in love with Spain. Together they have set up a well organised charity igniting a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Collective calling have a shop in San Pedro de Alcántara and have recently also opened a shop in Sabinillas.
